Claire Hay: Reflexology
Wednesdays 16.30-20.30 Other days and times may be available.
Claire was inspired to become a practitioner after personally experiencing the benefits of reflexology and she hopes to pass on similar positive experiences to others. Claire was taught at the London Reflexology Academy, graduating with a Level 5 Centralia Reflexology Mastership and has been practising in Bristol since her move in July 2017. This diverse, high level qualification means that she is able to offer treatments to help with a wide range of health conditions; sub-fertility/pregnancy related issues and treatments for those in palliative care. Her anatomy, physiology and pathology knowledge from her training enables her to provide clinical treatments, uniquely tailored to each client, by assessing their overall physical and emotional health and lifestyle. This holistic approach aspires to determine the root of the client’s concern, whilst addressing the immediate effects it may be having on their body. Along with a fresh enthusiasm for the therapy she has a real desire to help and heal.
Reflexology is a natural, complementary therapy that uses touch and pressure on the hands or feet to improve a person’s health and wellbeing. All parts of the body are mapped out on the soles of the feet and palms of the hands, commonly known as ‘reflexes’. The practitioner’s fingers and thumbs are used to apply pressure and stimulate these reflex areas corresponding to specific parts of the body. Pressure on these reflexes improves circulation to the mapped areas via channels such as arteries, veins, nerves and lymphatics. This triggers the body’s natural healing potential, dissolving blockages and restoring balance.
Initial treatments with Claire include a short consultation process in order to deliver a comprehensive, investigative and relaxing reflexology treatment, carefully tuned to the client’s needs.
