Josh Gill (M.Ost, F.AFS, N.D.): Osteopathy
Back in Balance is run by its lead osteopath Josh Gill. He completed a 4 year masters degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost) from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, excelling in patient management, clinical assessment, diagnosis, nutrition, and osteopathic technique, providing him with a strong in depth understanding of the human body. Josh is able to accurately diagnose, and translate this into understandable explanations for patients, with a structured treatment plan and clear timeline for their return to being free from pain and injury.
Since graduating, he has earned the distinction of Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS) from the internationally renowned Gray Institute in the USA, upon completing a 40-week intensive training programme in biomechanics. This knowledge has allowed Josh to assess and treat according to your functional goals and abilities, incorporating advanced movement assessments and functional exercises into each treatment programme, aiding in accurately finding the true cause of dysfunction whether in sports specific movement, or day to day tasks. This means that rehabilitation programmes are authentic and unique to each individual patient. He treats a wide variety of patients including; manual workers, athletes, office based workers, and the elderly. He has a special interest alongside extensive postgraduate training in spinal injuries and sports injury rehabilitation. His love for exercise and staying active, alongside an in-depth understanding of the principles of human movement influence his treatment of patients in clinic.
