Charlotte is a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist who has specific skills in the psychological assessment and intervention with adults who have difficulties such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress.
Charlotte has a special interest in working with women who have difficulties related to the effects of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence and issues arising from this such as relationship difficulties and self-harm.
Charlotte's clinical practice is influenced by modes of therapy such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), systemic therapy and person-centred counselling in order to best meet the needs of the client. To this end, she places the therapeutic alliance at the core of any psychological input. Charlotte has completed accredited training in the use of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, Schema-Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma.
