Milla Kenny: BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling and registered member of the BACP.
I am a qualified counsellor, working in private practice in Southville, Bristol. My therapeutic focus is on helping adults who are challenged by stress, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, loss or grief. The aim of our sessions is to help you have a better understanding of yourself, which in turn will help you deal with the feelings that are encroaching on your current life.
Therapy is a joint enterprise. I see the role of the counsellor as that of a confidential and compassionate collaborator, supporting you towards solutions that are not imposed by me but come from within you.
As an integrative counsellor I use a number of approaches depending on what seems appropriate for you and your particular issues.
My experience includes working with adults with a broad diversity of ages and backgrounds in the NHS sector. I have worked with a range of issues; from low self-esteem, early traumas, panic attacks, career-related stress and relationship difficulties to anxiety, parental issues and suicidal thoughts. I have also worked with many senior clients facing retirement, loneliness and ageism.
I have experience in bereavement and loss and can help with what can be a very difficult time in your life.
